Olympics and Politics

It really sad to see that people are mixing Politics with the Olympics.

First, is Steven Spielberg, on the Sudan affairs.

Although I do not know much about the situation or the background of the above, I do realise that the news portrayed China as the bad guy, and the West as the Saint on this issue. But lets look back at the Second Gulf War, the West, who sent troops in, controlled the country till now, raise the oil prices, and making money out of war, was never protrayed as the bad guy, as much as this issue…. and how many has died in the Gulf War?? The last I know, likely above 1 million.

I am not supporting China at all, if they really did supply weapons to the militants, but then, from what I read, China is supplying weapons to the Sudan troops, to suppress the militants. Correct me if I am wrong.

But no matter what, do not mix politics with the Olympics games.

More recently, the 3.14 Tibetan conflict. Where Tibetans seeks independence from China. People all over the West gather together and once again, points the finger at China.

Imagine what will happen if Texas tries to declare independence  one find day. Or even just look at North Ireland…

The death tool could be well over that in Tibet.

And just yesterday, Tibetan activists snatching the Olympics Torch from Jin Jing, a handicapped relay runner.
Jin Jing Olympics Torch Relay

It just makes me wonder…. all these things seems like a plot, against China.

I think the West is just worried about their position in the future when China overtakes them economically.  And taking thing opportunity to paint a bad image of China.

The West has always used force on China, over the past hundred of years, when they cannot get what they wanted.

Example? Opium War, anyone?

Anyway, once again…. please do not bring Politics into the Olympics games…

Bad bad service…

This happened a while back, in late March, but was too busy to post due to some biz trips…

====================

Alighted at Boon Lay MRT station and saw this shop selling really nice looking Tahu Goreng and wanted to try, since tahu is one of the very few things that I can shaft down my throat due to the diet (although deep fried ones are a no-no).

shopfront rude service

$2 it says…. and with loads of vegetables (click on the 2nd picture to see the enlarged picture)… wonderful…

Ordered 2, and saw the girl packing it for the customer infront of me…

God… the sauce is really little, and so is the vegetable…

So when its my turn, I asked for more vegetable…

Back came the reply: “we already give alot ok? dun ask somemore”

I was shocked! You can always decline to give more, but not in that tone, my dear.

So have a look at the “ALOT OF VEGETABLE” tahu…

alot of vege

Anyway, I was paying up, and she started to tell the cashier in Malay.

“more vegetable, more sauce. everything also want more. thats why so fat now”

too bad for you, darling, I understand what you said…

and you are now featured in my blog…

to see the girl who said that, she is the one in the second picture, wearing a cap and yellow shirt behind the counter…. oh… she ain’t slim either…

welcome to stardom!!!!
